New MX3230 - Can't find my video card drivers

Thread Starter
Upon purchasing my MX3230, I reformatted and installed XP Pro naturally.
However, I did a clean format, deleting the "safety partition" that is supposed to store all of the factory settings.

After much searching, I restored my wifi connection drivers, as well as sound, but I still am unable to find my video card drivers.

From what I understand (since I can't determine my display adapter because the driver isn't installed correctly) The video card is a Radeon 9250 series, Unless anybody knows it to be something different, this is all I have to go by.

When I try to install the Catalyst drivers, I get an error saying that I do not have the proper hardware for the installation.

When I try to install Omega drivers, the process Ikernel.exe uses 100% of my CPU, the Drivers won't install, and I have to quit. I then get an error saying :

"Setup failed to run installation: The remote procedure call failed."

Does anybody happen to know if 1) I am trying to install the correct thing.

or 2) Anywhere where I can find these drivers?

Thank you for reading -

Apparently after installing the drivers for the MX3210 which seem to somewhat work, my display adapter is called...

VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP

Any ideas?

I'm about to do what you just suggested with the DHMod3 tool.

Edit: That didn't work.

Thanks - that helps but I still can't determine which from the list is mine. The diagnostic tool above the list didn't help much - anything else I could do to identify which is the correct download for me?

according to ur specs, i would try
http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx...0&SubCatID=163
(Version - 16.94.44.51)
to be sure u can download SiSoftware and run the diagnosis,. it can tell u the correct gpu model

All that did was give me a BSOD and reboot, upon which I received no video.

Now I'm rebooting into safemode to uninstall it.

What now?

Thank you very much sir.

I believe I'm all set now. Opening Soldat no longer gives me an error saying my hardware can't render into the correct 3D mode.

Now if I could just get Battlefield 2 to work.
