I have a Gateway 450sx4 notebook and the CD-rom drive (D) s not reading any of the disks that are put into it. I have actually tried two different CD-rom drives and still the same result. I can hear the drive spinning and making noise like it wants to read the disc, but in the end, the D drive still shows nothing in it. The device manager says that everything is working properly for the unit, but it is not. I reinstalled windows early this year and it was working properly and then I would say it started doing this a couple months later. I would appreciate any insight or help on this matter. Thanks.
