Ok, my girlfriends computer (toshiba m35x) has had multiple problems...first the power jack has failed TWICE. She did NOTHING to cause these failures. Actually there were times when a month went by before she even moved the computer. Most of the time it stayed pluged into the same wall. Now after she got the comp back for the second time...she just showed me a gigantic crack in the screen (not anything you can see unless its powered up). It looks like a "spider web type crack)...now the big trouble part...
#1. the tap program says you must have the same problem 3x....
#2. she got the computer back two weeks ago...it was only tonite that the problem exhibited itself....
QUESTIONS:
Q1. can a screen crack take weeks to show up?
Q2. could it be possible for a cat jumping on a notebook when its closed to cause this type of screen damage?????
Q3. any questions as to how to best deal with tap without them blaming her for all the problems?
We are at a loss to explain what has caused this...one day it was fine the next day a crack that fills up 1/4 of the 15.4" screen...someone pls. help
