official AW laptop bag pictures

I just received my Alienware laptop bag (AW p/n mobl-alienpmc). Thought I would post my comments and some pictures

This bag barely fits the A-51m. The foam insert that cradles and protects the area-51m doesn't go all the way to the top. You can tell this laptop bag was not custom designed specifically for the A-51. There should be a special compartment for the power supply because of its size but there isn't. I will be putting mine in the outside compartment that looks like netting. I do like the styling of the bag better than my current one. I wish this AW bag had a bigger side pouch. I usually carry a few books with me where ever I take my laptop so it would be nice if it could hold more that just the laptop and a few accessories. Don't get me wrong most people do not carry around as much stuff as I do. I carry a portable linksys 5 port switch, a couple books, USB hub, lots of adapters like DB9 to DB25, usb to serial converter, USB cable, network patch cord, etc. Not many people want their laptop bag for all this extra junk (except me). I would have still bought this bag knowing what I know now. I just think it looks good.

i agree, while the bag looks great it holds nothing,... with just the laptop and battery you have stuff bulging out the sides poking you...

wihtout the battery and just the laptop its great, you can throw some games, your second smart bay drive and a patch cable in there, but the battery doesnt fit nice. throwing the usb mouse in there will also get you poked in the side

The alienware delux backpack has tons of room in it. I was able to fit both the laptop, textbooks/folders/notebooks, the power supply and CDs with plenty of room to spare and no bulging. It is a really nice backpack.

I'm totally getting the backpack. Since I also have school stuff and the backpack is not big enough for laptop AND textbooks, I was considering getting the Alienware bag for school stuff, but your pictures show me I'm better off getting a regular tote bag designed for school stuff

yeah your not really fitting much in the bag other than the laptop and power supply

Actually I meant get both the backpack AND the tote bag, use the backpack for the laptop and the tote bag for school stuff. But it doesn't look like the tote bag would work well for that.

well why dont you go that route and use the backpack for the books and abttery and the totebag for the laptop?

just the laptop and small stuff fits nice.

i will be purchasing a HALLIBURTON DZ7-SI to carry my alien around in.... and as for the one that the COMPAQ used to be in i will use that one for my files and all my cables adapters and software....

that way i will look like a drug dealer carrying money in one and BLOW in the other

i LOVE the halliburtons

they are tuff and very stylish

now where did i put my funky ass bug eye glasses
" oh yea over there next to the scale "

I worry about those halliburton briefcases a little. I really like them. I am worried about them LOOKING like they contain something expensive. More appealing to someone looking to steal something even if they don't know what's inside. I do want one but will refrain from getting one for that reason. They just look llike tempting targets to a thief.

well theres a solution to that also

i found some very nice CHROME leg irons on ebay..... they are handcuffs iwth long chains.... so what im gonna do is when im at a show i will handcuff the case to the table or what have you.... very simular to the locks on the laptops....

and even better i can handcuff it to my wirst and then have a couple GOONS in cheap suits follow closly behind me.... with there right hand in there coat pocket

the glasses and moustasches are essental to complete the look

Thats a nice looking bag. I don't lug my laptop around with me all that much but I was thinking about getting that bag to replace my current messenger bag for work just based on looks alone.

Great pictures BTW!

Hey all, I was just wondering, since there's been a lot of discussion about the AW backpack, does it not cover the area-51m completely? and if it doesn't, how big of a problem has everyone found that to be?

I'm just curious considering I put up 90 bucks for it, and I really would like to keep things in the backpack (like those metal notebook spirals for instance) from scratching my laptop. Thanks.
