My birthday passed a few days ago and my wife got me an XBOX 360 thats being shipped to me. I was going to buy the VGA cord so that I can play the games off the PC moniter (i'm getting an HDTV for X-mass). My question is, Is there a way to make it so that I can use the M170s LCD display as moniter for my XBOX 360 or anyother PC for that matter?

Questions liek this have come up like 100 times. The only real way you can play video games right noe using a laptop or computer is with a tv tuner. The only tv tuner that I know of that actually has no lag and is sutible for gaming with would be the Adaptec Gamebridge 1410. Its about $100 but you will be abe to use your m170's lcd to game with using it. It also has inputs for rca, s-video, and coax. A lot of people say its still not possible, but this adapter was made just for that and I use it my self with my xbox 360 : )

No sorry, to this day there isnt an hd tuner that has no lag for gaming, even if there was your lcd still wouldnt look perfect. The screens resolution at 1920x1600 is way higher then hd. I think regular tv ir only at like 640x400 not sure what hd would be thought. I just know its not 1920x1600

Firstly the screen on the XPS is 1920x1200, standard def TV is 640x480, 720p is 1280x720, and 1080i/p is 1920x1080
