MCE 2005 on M6805 video compatibility

I just install MCE 2005 on my M6805. When I initialize the MCE interface, I got a msg saying that my video driver is missing or not compatible.
Once I click on OK, the msg goes away and the interface load. Every thing look to be normal but when I go into play the video, it prompt me again about compatibility.

Has any one uses or load MCE 2005 on there M68xx laptop? If so, did you get this msg and how did you resolve it.

Note: Vista Beta 2 load its MCE interface w/o any error and I was able to play the sample hi-def clip and brows through different section and all seems to be working fine.

i do not know if this would satisfy ur query, but i use MediaPortal on my XP, about to try it on the Vista partition. Microsoft MCE is, by my personal experience, has quite a few incompatibity issues, and if by (un)luck that u install a device that it is not windows "certified" sig then it would give u a heap of headache.

to the point - Vista is doing fine, XP is doing fine - so MCE must have an attitude with the m6805 machines
oh, u can try to un.install and re.install the gpu driver, AFTER installing MCE, sometimes it helps, funny that ati has a section for just the MCE version but with IGP (might have to use DHMod3 on this)

cheers ...

Thanks qhn, this is my 2nd time around with MCE install. I install the latest driver from ATI and it prompt me to uninstall the driver that I have first and install just a compatible driver on it then reinstall the latest driver that I got.

After I remove driver and install a generic/compatible driver, then install the latest driver from ATI, it still will not set me install.
I'll have to post the error msg when I get home tonight.

Would it posible to use the Vista driver since that one work? If so, where can I locate the driver from Vista install.

I have 2 hdd, one for Vista and one for MCE. Also have a USB enclosur so both drive can be access at the same time.
