As you can see everything went smoothly. My order was expected for delivery on August 3rd, but I received ita day early . The notebook was boxed nicely, the computer came with the XP cd, user's manual and carrying case.

The notebook had no problem booting, and my XP was activated fine. It was a fresh install of XP Pro, the only other software was ATI catalyst control.

All and all I had a good experience with them; however, I did not have a chance to talk with customer service much.. as I did not need to. I did, however, call them before I ordered to ask for the dimensions of the notebook.

Before ordering I did not know about the website reseller ratings.. to my surprise I read alot of horror stories and was quite scared about my purchase, so I figured i'd write a good review of my experience if it turned out okay.

Although my experience with them has been good, I don't think i'll make a future purchase from them as if you have to send the computer in, it takes a long time for them to fix it and send it back. Also in the future i'll probably look for a longer warranty than 1 year.

hey...i got my rig for IBP too....had to RMA 2 times so have more experience than you.

the 1 year warranty comes from Uniwill or Clevo or whatever the hell ODM your system is, not from IBP, and they simply choose to not sell extended packages like some other resellers which offer extended warranties through 3rd parties.

Both of my RMAs took a few days shy of a month to complete. However, about 12 days of that total time (say out of 28 days) was SHIPPING just from me to them and from them to me, thats because they use ground ups or fedex, which takes a good 5 or 6 days each way. on top of that if its something they can't fix in-house, they ship it out to ODM for a fix...luckily for me Uniwill has a branch in CA not too far from ibp's location.

their on teh phone support overall is i'd rate above average. better than HP/Compaq by FAR.

prolly wouldn't buy another laptop from them...at least not in the near future, but overall it hasn't been a bad experience.

UPS Ground only takes 4 business days for me. I live in Massachusetts and have had things shipped from California to me that shipped in 4 days. 12 days of shipping is a bit of a stretch.

And also, you go to every single thread about ibuypower and tell of the great experience you had. Do you work for them or something? Sheesh. I personally would not order from them because while obviously not everyone gets screwed by them, a lot more people seem to have trouble with them than with other resellers.

birdman....are you retarded? i clearly said in my last sentence "i probably wouldn't buy another laptop from them" and in my previous ibuypower threads, yes, i shone a more possitive light on them than some other members, but generally i did not hide they have issues, made it more than clear my RMAs took longer than they should have......lay off the crack my man.

and no i dont work for them, i just hate to see the unjustified bashing by some members who NEVER bought a system from them and say "omfg! stay away from them like the devil, they f-ing sux0rz"

and yes, i do think i am better than you
