Would like to see a Clevo model with a Nvidia Go 7900 GS

Hi all,

Even though I like the thought of having a Sager/Clevo/Hypersonic/etc laptop with a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processor I'm kind of surprised on the choices of 2 GPUs. Sure the Nvidia Go 7900 GTX is pretty sweet but I would like to see a lappy sporting a 7900 GS. I wonder how come Clevo haven't made a lappy with that GPU.

i agree. a 7900gs would make for a gaming capable media center with good performance, without getting overly hot or thick.

ok I am not realy up on my video card speak at the moment. (Kind of burried my head in the sand for a while now. The Idea is if I dont know it exists I wont want to go out and buy it ) So what is the difference between the GTX and the GS?

anyone remember when they had different model numbers for differnt features?

Here is a link that gives you a gist about the Nvidia Go 7900 GTX and GS versions:

As you can tell the GTX is a much better GPU for gaming then the GS version but the thing is that the GS uses much less power but can still do a decent job at gaming. So in other words:

GTX = performance < power
GS = performance > power

For me the Nvidia Go 7900 GS fills that happy medium between gaming and other video apps. It may not be as great as the GTX but it can do what it needs to do well.

That's true but I'm looking for a core duo or core 2 duo with a single Nvidia 7900 GS and not the SLI version.
