are you trying to connect directly? do you have any firewalls or xp firewalls enabled? do you have all your ip addresses and gateways set to auto detect? need more info here! try to connect on a lan, and then to a wireless network.

Hello

I've just got my new baby today after ordering it sunday 2-22. 8600 1.5,512,64 video card,wsxg card or wxsga or whatever,and I just want to thank all of the post about the dell 8600 lappy. I was looking for a laptop and thinking about a alienware when I happened on this site and reading all of the post on dell 8600's I was sold. I can't believe it got here so quick. I'm trying to install a wireless dlink on my destktop with comcast as my internet provider but have not been able to get the dell to pickup a wireless signal yet.
any pointers would be appreciated.
