Need help with testing Video RAM

Hello all,

Here is the setup:

I have a Dell e1705 with a 7900GS that works pretty well. However, so far, I have received two NMI Parity errors on it (Google can provide more information). Basically, it is a BSOD that is OS independent. From extensive reading, I have found out that the GPU might be the actual culprit, not the RAM.

What I've done so far:

In order to eliminate the RAM, I went through the entire Dell Extended diagnostics and ran Memtest86+ for 7 passes on my RAM. Absolutely no problems found anywhere in the system.

What I want to do:

I want a program that can be used to test GPU VRAM for errors. Almost all programs just test system memory. The only software I've been able to find that might work is TestMem 4 at http://testmem.nm.ru/tm4e.htm (one of the few English pages on the site).

I tried using TM4, S&M and TestVideoRam, using a DOS boot disk. However, none of the programs seem to work. Upon starting the program, I first see a screen of diagnostic information. One of the messages indicates an error. Then, the program starts, but it freezes the system (or so it seems). None of the key combinations noted on the website work.

What I would like to know:

Has anyone been able to get TestMem 4 to work on a modern system? Specifically, a system with a 7900GS with 256 VRAM in it.

If not, is there any other program you use to test your video card's memory, like a MemTest86 for VRAM? I hope I can get at least some responses from this.

Thanks for your time,

Errr ... there is another GPU testing utility. I can't think of the name as it's been awhile since I've used it. It maxes out your GPU's capablities and I believe you can choose a setting for video RAM, but I could be wrong. The name of it was a bunch of letters and I think it was foreign but it was in English. I'm sure someone on here that overclocks or is into gaming know what I'm talking about.

Hmm. I've never heard of such a utility, but would welcome it. None of the popular GPU testing programs really focus on testing the video memory.
