If you have an NVidia card you can try the following.

In the NVidia control panel for your video card there should be a "Tools" menu where you can click the button that says "Display Optimization Wizard" that should help you with your issue.

I am using the 91.37 version of the NVidia drivers.

A few days ago Dell have changed my LG screen with a new 5557 ( i think i remember this is my new screen ... sorry, now it's too late here, and my brain is near sleeping ), and after some color tweaks with only the NVIDIA controls i can see that now is awesome and with a more high color range and cool blacks

sorry, now i'm writting this reply from my desktop computer, so i can tell you my last settings for to take you some color settings for test, but i shall put here the next time i take my notebook

don't worry, with some adjustments you will take some good colors and blacks without the powerstrip.

Peace and beers for all

Hi again.

Now i'm writting from the 9300. And yes, it's the Samsung 5557 , so i put my color settings for the Advanced NVIDIA panel, for your test. You can see that i don't like too much more the excessive saturation of colors, but maybe if you are a gamer then you will be more happy increasing the Digital Vibrance.

I've put 6 control points on each color curve of the Advanced settings. Just select the individual color and click with the mouse somewhere on the line that at beginning have only 3 control points. Next you can enter this numbers on the two little squares near Gamma slider ( in grey ).

Ok, my settings:

- Digital Vibrance only 10 right cursor steps.
- Red curve - 6 control points: 0.00/0.00 - 0.08/0.12 - 0.51/0.48 - 0.83/0.75 - 0.94/0.89 - 1.00/1.00
- Green curve - 6 control points: 0.00/0.00 - 0.09/0.14 - 0.50/0.45 - 0.82/0.75 - 0.95/0.90 - 1.00/1.00
- Blue curve - 0.02/0.01 - 0.08/0.11 - 0.54/0.46 - 0.78/0.67 - 0.95/0.85 - 1.00/0.97

And remember to save as ..., because if you select for example All Channels at once, then the individual color settings will go away

I'm still trying to find the more better settings for this Samsung screen, so any help or suggestion will be welcome too . With my 9300 i do more design job than to play games, so i try to find more natural colors than an aberration color settings.

Hope can help.

Peace and beers

Hey everyone :-)

I got the same panel in my 9400, i browsed thru some forums for a while ago, and suddenly there was a ICC profile made by someone with the same panel (Yes, i know there is some differences between each panels, but even so the colors are not so hard, and much more vibrant and colorful). I will post the profile when im getting home (At work atm).
Sorry my english. Danish guy.
