Well before you put the motherboard back in, remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes. Or use killmos, as removing the CMOS battery is too late now http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...KILLCMOS.shtml

Help

I have a Toshiba A100/A105 series laptop. I have never had a problem with it until today. When I try to load windows it wants a password. I have never had a password on this laptop. Does anyone know how to bypass this so it will load windows

If it never had a password, and you didn't put one, then hit enter. Somewhere in Control Panel/user Accounts make sure you have a tick in 'Use the Welcome screen'. Post back if this doesn't help.

I did find this http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/reference/biosp.htm
Seems some of the manufacturers may have backdoor passwords for their MOBOs.
