The $200 Phase Game.... GO!

Ok most of you guys know that on the m5550 there was a $200 price drop last week. So i called Alienware this morning to see if they would honor the price drop. They said they would if the paperwork goes through before the system is shipped! So my system is sitting in phase 8 and the request for the price drop was sent at 11:00 (their time) this morning. So if the phase game plays out like i read (slower than christmas) I should get ~$200 in my bank account! That's what I call a rebate

Congrats i hope it works out well for you. The price drop made my decision up for me i was humming and harring about either a Dell inspiration a HP or this and then when i saw the price drop it was never an issue again.

On a side not i just rang up to find out my status and i have gone from phase 1 to 5 today. Which is awesome and made me very happy.

Ya me 2 I'm gonna use it to up the ram and get a G7 mouse! btw is my sig too big? I have a 20" screen and forget it's bigger on smaller screens...

Well it ships tom. and still no word about my $200 so i'm gonna call the person who i set all this up w/ tom and see if i can get store credit or something. whatever it's worth a shot

It is cool that AW honors the price drop. Nothing sucks worse that ordering a PC and seeing the price go down the next day.

I called and got the $100 price drop from when I first ordered my m5750. I was told it wont show on your order status. I used mine to add a third year to my warranty.

Yeah, I got burned by the price drop. I didn't know you could call and get it adjusted. Oh well, $200 down the drain.

The results of the $200 phase game are in!!! and the winner is ME by a long shot!!!!!! not only did they refund the $200 for the system but since then the shipping has dropped by $50 so the refunded me a grand total of $250!!!! I checked today and it was all in my account so I got busy spending it.... I ordered 1gb of ram for the lappy and a 250 gig hdd for my desktop!!! and still have like $100 left!!!! The only thing is it delayed my shipping but they removed the shipping block today when i called and they said my system will ship out today at latest tom. I'm soooo happy!!!!
