Its been a while since I have spent any time posting in here (or reading for that matter) so I just figured they were still using mini-pci for all notebooks. Then for some reason, I also thought that the mini-pci slot in the 9300 was an express slot. So I was way off! I promise that I will read a little bit closer next time, and then maybe I can provide an intelligent answer! lol

I do the same mistake always...

Getting a new minipci-e card wont do much with reception. Somehow the new M1710's antenna wasn't doing the same job as old m170. My lappy isn't give me a good reception at all, that is why I go with the external USB device with removable antenna. With a 7dbi antenna, you get receive the wireless network I have not seem in the past..... Works great for me. I think with shipping is like around $90, and it can be use on ANY computers.

Will this little adapter allow the INTERNAL mini-cpi card to use esternal antennas? If so, would you be better off using two of these adapters? And lastly, where can one pick up the adapter and antennas??

You can get them from Netgate.com
