Problem with external moniter HELP!!!

hey ya'll,
I need help!! first off, i had successfully connected my viewsonic moniter to my notebook via vga and everything went smoothly. Then i decided to mess with the video settings a little bit and i might have done something wrong. From what i recall, i clicked on lcd instead of vga on the drop down box and thats when the problem happened. My notebook rebooted automatically after the changes i made and now i cannot see my welcome screen/desktop?! any help would be appreciated.

p.s i went into safe mode with no luck.

on your notebook or your the external VGA screen?

Nevermind problem solved.. i just left my notebook on for about an hour then the screen showed up. thanx anyways
