Upgrading memory

Hey guys,

One of my roommates is looking to buy a macbook and I told him to just buy the memory separately because he get more for almost the same price. However, another roommate read something about macbooks now requiring or highly recommended to have heatsinks with them. Is this right or can my roommate just order normal 667 ddr2 memory?

No extra heatsinks needed with a macbook.

It's the Mac Pro that needs the heatsinks, cause of the FB-RAM, and they're supposedly specially designed to work with the airflow in the case, so I don't know what's up with that.

All the other Macs, however, don't require heatsinks.
