Tech TV has a small review on the Dell XPS and other gaming notebooks. Check it out.

Wow.... I'd assume the specs on the XPS as far as gaming would be similar to the 9100... Their processor speeds for the most part are all around the same area... Thanks for the link.

I just got finished reading that article, and, regarding the XPS, they had some issues with the bulkiness of the thing:

"It's also really thick at 1.8 inches with the display open, which makes it thicker than the others, even while they're closed. It also makes it uncomfortable to type or play games on."

Hmm, this makes me a little nervous, considering i just placed my XPS order last night. I don't want to get a machine that is uncomfortable to type on...Any thoughts?

I also have been thinking about that now that I have read the review. I also noticed that from what I can tell, there doesn't look like there will be a docking station for the thing. I don't know how hard typing on it could be, but I doubt it's anything worse than a Sager 8890, which is .25 inches thicker...

You must admit the laptop *is* thick and may be difficult to type on, but keep in mind they are most likely going off of the other laptops that they reviewed at the time, all of which were thinner.

It won't bother me .. Since my hands rest directly on the notebook palm rests and not on the table I really don't notice the height .. Its not like your hands touch the top of the laptop and the table at the same time ...

But if your worried about the extra height you can always place a few magazines under your laptop totaling the same amount as the extra height and then type on the laptop to see how it feels...

I tried this on my 8600 and found the extra height in no way really effects my typing style ..

I going to assume that Geforce 5900go is a typo on alienwares part of the review

LOL .. I noticed that 2 .. I even had to jump on AWs site just to make sure it wasn't something new they released and I missed .. If it was a 5900 I would have expected it to score better than what the AW acrually recieved ..

I don't think the fx 5900go was a typo, since the scores were better than the ati 9600pro mobility...

It's gotta be the upcoming FX 5700 Go...
