hello. i was wondering if this is normal but i can sometimes see a second layer ontop of my lcd screen. it looks like a whole bunch of pixels (kinda hard to describe). i can see it especialy in steam menus and allot of times in games when i am in dark places. i was wondering if anyone else knows what i am talking about and can help.

You might try a driver update from support.alienware.com. Take a screen shot if you can and upload it somewhere and link it so we can see what you're talking about.

i have the mobility radeon X1800. i am trying an update from ati's website

idk if AW's card will accept ATI's drivers. You'll most likely need to load AW drivers as the cards themselves are "locked" and will usually only accept AW drivers. See what you can do.

yes but this doesnt look like something i can remove...
btw i took a screen shot and sent it to anoher computer the "pixel like" effect was only visible on the alienware. also it is very noticable when you go into a dark place is cs:cz.
