Any Gateway battery recall info ???

Went to the gateway site and saw nothing written about battery recall. Seen no messages on the subject here recently either.

Do we Gateway owners have nothing to worry about, or is Gateway avoiding the issue?

My system, including inline transformer, battery CPU, HDD and case are not to hot at all. I'm not worrying here, just wondering what is happening in the larger world of Gateway notebooks.

The Dell batteries that are being recalled were manufactured by Sony. My current gateway m680 is by Sanyo, and my old 7422GX as well as the emachines m68xx series were Dynapack, remembering from the top of my head, possibly others. You can check your battery's manufacturer with mob meter if you like.

My m6805 battery is indeed by Dynapack.

My Gateway 7422GX battery has 57% wear after just over a year!
