I have to admit, I am an exceptionally patient person. So patient, in fact, that my i9300 has had:
2 Motherboard replacements
1 Defective Battery
1 LCD panel replacement
Back plastics/lid plastics replaced (bad hinges so they replaced everything)
1 Hard Drive (just died this morning, bios doesnt even 'see' the hard drive there...)
After chatting on the phone with a very nice hardware support tech, she created a dispatch for a hard drive for me... I waited for like 10 minutes for her to come back on, in which time I thought about all the problems I have been having just this month alone. When she came back, I allowed her to finish her little ditty (case number, dispatch number... call us if there are any more issues... etc.) I then asked her if I could make a comment.
I stated that I have been very patient with the system at hand, and have allowed them to continue throwing parts at it all this time. I noted, however, that I drive a semi truck for a living, and getting home for all these dispatches has proved to be a challenge on my behalf. I then stated that 95% of my business is done on my notebook, and downtime for me is costly out here. I asked about my options, and she asked what I would like. I told her, I have no idea really, as this is my first experience with a machine that has failed me so many times...
She put me on hold, and when she came back (about 10 minutes later) she said that her supervisor wants her to dispatch me a replacement system. I agreed to this, and was told to expect more information on the 'replacement' specs in the next week or so. I have decided (looking at my current specs) that it will most definately be an improvement over my current configuration!
I will keep ya'll posted as to what they are replacing my old notebook with in the coming days. Big
for Dell's warranty department, I think that they may have made me a customer for life!

good to hear, sounds like your last system was sure a somewhat messed up, due to so many replacements, I also am currently tally-ing up my parts that are failing, since I do understand that at some point Dell becomes more willing to replace your system. Anyway, enjoy your new system!!!

) I guess its just a good mix of everything I do on a daily basis that requires the notebook to be tip-top. The 9300 has done a superb job of keeping up with me daily, and I have appreciated that. I do however regret buying it with the X300 graphics card... There arent many good games I can play without experiencing lots of lag. That and I think I only get like 300 points in 3DMark06
