HP Extended Battery

Thread Starter
Since its almost back to school time and I will be on campus for around 9 hours a day, I was thinking about purchasing this battery for my notebook which is on sale until saturday (109.99), it is significantly cheaper than HP's price of 179.99 and I would like to know some of the cons of getting it.

I know it sticks out more and is slightly heavier but I have also heard that they have less recharge cycles than their lower-cell counterparts, is this a true or a real problem at all?

For $109, grab that 12 cell. It does stick out a bit but it also elevates the laptop about an inch. I get about 5 to 6 hours on the dv2000t. As always with batteries, remove it if not using it, try to let it discharge fully before recharging, you shouldn't have any problems.

I get the same amount of time with my v2000z. Well worth the price and buldge and it doesn't add that much weight, like half a pound.
