Problems with installing games

Okay, i got my E1705 a couple of weeks back and i couldnt be happier. For some reason when i try to install Quake 4 on this machine, it just stops and does not want to go another inch and when i look at my HDD light, their is no sign of doing anything. My question is that is their something wrong with my quake 4 installer? or is it something on my computer that just stops it?

Did you get any error message? Try installing another game and if it installs without any problem, then maybe the Q4 disc is defective or just dusty. Try wiping the disc with a clean cotton rag and see what happens.

I would suggest trying a manual install, to do this, you basically going to want to make files you can find for each individual disk, then your going to explore disk 1, view all of its files, then copy and paste them into the folder, do this for all of the disks you have.....after that your going to go into folder 1 and go for autorun /setup, this should take you through the installation flawlessly, bypassing the disks.... anyway get back to me on how it worked

do you have any antivirus/firewall software running? sometimes that blocks my "legal" game installs.
