Hope this helps to answer your question about cleaning the laptop

I would strongly suggest reinstalling Windows. It is not difficult at all, just follow the instructions here... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=67545

If you don't want to do that, I would suggest the Dell Decrapifier -- google it... it is even recommended by PCWorld this month. It removes all the trialware and a good amount of the crap.

Good luck.

is the Dell decrapifier actually called the "Dell Decrapifier", because i want to google it too, and would prefer the proper name if that isnt it

That's the correct name.

It was originally called Dell Decrapifier until Dell threatened litigation over misuse of their trademarks in the product name. The generic name "PC Decrapifier" was chosen as a replacement to eliminate that concern.

That's typical of laptop CD/DVD drives. Using a motorized tray would 1)add weight and power needs and 2)be something else that could break on a portable computer.

Not to Hijack this thread but I'm about to go ahead with a E1505 purchase and want to ask you guys if the Go 7300 is worth the extra money over the x1400?

Good luck with you new lappy's!

From what I have read in the forums the 7300 is not even an upgrade, possibly a downgrade. Basically you are paying for the Nvidia name. Most people have said that the X1400 is better but I have no way to confirm this. I get about 2,100 in 3DMARK 2005 with default settings (in 3DMARK) and having the ATI overclocked but not too much.
