Hey all, ok so heres the rundown on how I do things and then my question.
When I head to bed early in the morning hours I shut down my m9700, close her, unplug the DC cord from the back of the lappy and unplug the brick from my surge protector. Now, the reason I unplug the brick from the surge protector and the laptop is because I've noticed that it gets pretty hot whenever its plugged in (the brick I mean) and I didn't want it plugged in when it wasn't supplying the m9700 with power because.....well I guess I figured it was bad for the bricks lifespan.
So heres my question. Is it bad for A, the laptop and/or B, the brick to leave it plugged into the wall overnight? If its bad for the laptop, is it ok to leave the brick plugged in and just disconnect it from the back of my m9700?
I realize this is probably basic laptop maintenance stuff but I've never owned a notebook before and well....after spending so much on this beautiful machine and falling in love with it over the past month, I just don't want her to die
.
Any insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance guys and gals.
