Remote Control for e1505?

Just found a use for a remote control for my notebook. Does anyone use the Dell one that stores in the ExpressCard slot here? http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=A0691231 I'd order it today if it weren't for the 1-2 weeks ship time. I'd like to have it sooner. The main feature I like is where it stores and that it recharges too. Is there anything else on the market like this?

Thanks,
Wendy

Another question to add to this. If you didn't get integrated bluetooth for the laptop, but got a usb dongle that gives you a bluetooth link, would this remote work?

It should work. It's still Bluetooth. Cheap BT dongles sometimes come with less than optimal drivers, so be prepared for a possible tussle.

Got this yesterday! I love it! It's compatable with Media Center and works great with Power Point. Snaps right into the Express Card slot and recharges there only! So don't buy this unless you have the express card slot! I have built in BT so I'm not sure if it works with the dongle.

When the remote is in the computer does it sit flush with the side or does it stick out?

It sticks out about a quarter inch but still slips easily into a computer bag. This really bothered me at first but now I hardly notice it. It's the best purchase I ever made. I use it several times a week.

Well I have an E1705 so maybe it wont stick out as much. Do you have any pics of it in the computer?

I just got mine. It sticks out about the same amount as above. Other than this tiny little thing it is pretty sweet.

Actually, Im pretty sure the idea came from the HP dv2000 series of notebooks, theyve got the same style of remote, that goes in that slot - but looks a little better and doesnt stick out!

I think the part where it sticks out is where the bluetooth antenna is housed. Im sure they made it as small as they possibly could. Its pretty amazing though that all the bluetooth technology and a battery fit in something so thin.

For me this remote will not work with the Dell 355 bluetooth module, it keeps pairing as a mouse and will not operate.

It works for me on the Dell 355. It also pairs as a mouse. I have had no problems with it so far.
