Wirelessly networking my whole house

Thread Starter
I have a Linksys Wireless G router that I've had for a year and I just got my notebook. Problem is the notebook, even though it has an upgraded Dell wireless card, wont get the signal up in my bed room. Is there anyway I can extend the signal without losing performance to say play a game like World of warcraft??

How about a wireless extender, like http://www.netgear.com/Products/Brid...s/WGXB102.aspx

How big is your house?! If it can't even cover your own house, I don't know what to tell you. My wireless network goes for about a one block radious around my house.

Are there any interferences in your room or where the router is? Try a different channel maybe.

I was watching a thing about WIFI on how now they have a adapter that you plug into a electrical outlet, and it covers 5000 SQ feet. You should check it out

If its a year old, id say get a new wifi router, prolly gonna be stronger......then youll have a new router (802.11n if youd like) then you wont need to spend more money on an older router

thats my $00.02

Weird, I get excellent signal strength throughout my house and the router is usually 2-3 walls away.

Mine is a Linksys WRT54GS. Very good router.
