scratches on lid of notebook

i have some scratches on my lid of my notebook, like most of you probably do. most of them are small, but there are some kinda big ones that annoy me. is there anything i can do to reduce the visbility of these scratches. i was thinking aout putting a clearcoat on. would this amplify the scratches or cover them up.

i was thinking about that, but it is for a laptop that i might sell soon. so i dont really want to spend money on a skin i like and then having to remove it. but good suggestion

good idea with painting over it. it'll just be hard to find paint that matches.
and that carbon fiber look, looks ok but it might be a little tooo much to do the whole notebook inside and out. I'll see if i can match the paint. I'll still probably clear coat it since that looks awesome. thanks for all the help

o ok... i like it on the lid, but i might be selling the notebook soon since i have another one coming. and some people dont like to have skins or anthing on the lid. and if i had to take it off it would just be a waste of $12. if i was positive that id be keeping it id consider the cf look

aren't there any rub-on scratch removers that should make it at least look smaller...

i used to try with fine sand-paper, also with some turtlewax or armorall - did not work too well, in my case the outside is dark so it just made it uglier.

cheers ...
