any advantage in using instead of letting windows manage wireless connections? i want to reduce number of running processes

I actually prefer to let windows handle my wireless connection. The Intel program is slow to connect and will drop the connection more often.

the intel software also gave incorrect reading for signal strength. it would say excellent when i had only 3 bars, windows will give correcct reading. i removed all the intel software and everything is working fine. if you are not careful when uninstalling intel software, it will remove the wireless nic drivers also.

The benefeit is that you can setup profiles. I have to use it because my school uses Cisco LEAP and I have to use the enterprise security and 802.1x authentication

i don't have any problem with the intel, BUT 1 thing i don't like is that this thing will auto save the profile eventhough it is password enable connection. Since the connection is password enable, i suppose i should key in the WEP Key everytime i make the connection.
