laptop suggestions and components for capturing

Thread Starter
Sorry for the double post...

I have congfigured a notebook on Dell website. I am looking for a laptop to be used mainly for capturing through a tv tuner and burning downloads to DVD. Any suggestion as to what components will help make things run better are greatly appriciated. I am also checking to make sure that I am not over paying in certian areas that i will not be using. I will not be gaming on this computer, i am mainly interested in surfing, downloading, and ripping/encoding/burning video files, and possible video editing.

Here are my main components:
Inspiron E1705
17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife
Intel® Core™ Duo Proc T2500 (2GHz/667MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache)
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
100GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
TV Tuner w/ Remote Control

One other question...
Should I wait and add on certian components after purchace so that i am afforded more options, such as the TV tuner (dell captures analog only) and the DVD burner?

Thanks for any help and advice

I posted to your another thread already, but I'll post more here:

For SD (standard definition):
- 512 MB RAM - 1 GB RAM, depending on your editing program
- Basic graphics card for playback (anything with discrete memory is ok), an integrated solution might also do
- Faster the processor, faster the encoding (always good)
- 5400-7200 rpm hard drive (faster the better)

For HD (high definition):
- 2 GB or more memory
- Advanced graphics card (preferably with 256 MB memory or more)
- Fastest processor available, and it may not be enough for the most demanding HD footage (may need something like dual Xeon)
- RAID 0 array of fast hard drives (for most demanding HD footage)

These are preliminary requirements what I've seen thrown around in editing program requirements.
