Deffinetly looking forward to the V1, hopefully it has DVI out

The V1J has a Mini DVI port.

Currently in European countries it comes with a WSXGA+ screen and has 2 versions, one with high specs and one with lower specs, and different prices respectively.

Here in NA, we are pushing for a WSXGA+ screen aswell.

So when this be available? 2010? I love Asus, but sometimes it takes so long to go from announcement to my hands.

I'd like to know when it'll be available as well. And will the V1J have an MXM slot? These seem to be a further progression towards Intel's whitebox laptop dream, so I'm hoping the components are more easily swappable than the current generation...

I was thinking these would be core duo 2 models.

I saw this http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3888 though...

the V1J is an Asus ensemble, and is not a Verified By Intel model. Also, it's got an ATI video card, not Nvidia (MXM is a proprietary trademark of Nvidia)

For all you ASUS owners could you please specualte on the quality of the build?? Will it have a carbon fiber lid. What is your experience. I like the Core 2 Duo and I am about to buy a laptop once they are on the market.
