Windows XP Pro HT problem

Thread Starter
I have a Sager 5670 with the 3.06HT processor. Hyperthreading is enabled in the BIOS and windows Device Manager sees both processors. Somehow during the course of my LAN party last night, the windows processor performance graph got screwed up, and now only shows one graph instead of the two graphs that it did before. Anybody know what could have caused this and how to fix it? Thanks all,
ken

don't know what could have caused it, but in the task manager, select the performance tab and then go to view menu. there is an option under cpu history to view the processors both on one graph, or on two separate graphs.

Its not that....it is set to one graph per CPU right now. Makes me wonder if somethign in Windows got screwed up and "sees" the hyperthreading but isn't using it? I really have no ideas....

what about the 'processor affinity' switches in the processor tab? are both cpu's active?

I'm not seeing any processor affinity switches in the processes tab. Seems to me there should be.....so i'd almost think windows is being oblivious to the hyperthreading, even though it sees both processors in the device manager?
