hello and good day,

i would like to know your experience regarding the said camera stain of the M1210, i've read it somewhere in a forum, i heard that the camera stains the unit. is this true?

how can we avoid it? i also read one thread that we must not close the lid while its hot to avoid the stain of the unit.

thanks

What does it stain? This is the first i've heard of it..Im assuming it stains the notebook in the closed position? I'll have to do a search and see what this is about. I haven't had any camera stain..

never heard of it either.

Yea me neither... I always keep the camera flipped towards the outside so I don't think I'll ever have that problem.

i've just read it somewhere in a thread, i read that you should not close the lid while the camera is still hot coz it will stain the part that touches the unit. anybody have this problem on their m1210?

---Maybe---

It does get hot, but when I use it it has not been a problem. Granted that is only for a few minutes now and then to have fun.

I doubt it is a big issue unless you use the camera a lot.

Only on this forum would you find a topic on "camera stains". Maybe Dell should ship a sample of Shout stain remover with every M1210 instead of those worthless AOL cd's.

Not trying to thread crap, but just an odd observation. This could be the only discussion of "camera stains" anywhere in the world.

Also to note is that only the camera's back metal frame gets toasty, the front is cool to the touch so if you close and store the laptop with the camera lens facing the palm rest, you should have no problems.
