N5010...unable to boot from CD

Any help on this please...

No matter what i do i can't boot from the Fujitsu Recovery CD, or even acess the BIOS.
I've tried all the F keys but windows just goes ahead and boots. Tried pluging in a external keyboard, but still no luck. Made XP Pro emergency diskettes, but it does not let me boot the recovery disc.

Any suggestions??

press del before turning power on?
press esc before turning power on?

well, well... holding esc and F12 did it!
