TravelMate 2428AWXMi Wireless Driver

My sister just picked up this laptop as she is going back to school. She wanted to replace XP home with XP professional from her last laptop, so I reinstalled, pulled all the drivers down from Acer's website - however the wireless driver does NOT work. The a/g wireless driver zip they have available contains a broadcom and atheos, yet the description says atheos and intel. Anyways neither of these two drivers work. I *should* have verified the driver before wasting the factory partition scheme - which was 4gb recovery, 20 gig c: and 20gb d: all fat32. Pretty silly setup if you ask me.

ANyways...anyone able to tell me what the actual driver should be? I am thinking maybe its a intel pro wireless 3945abg but Im not sure. I am on dialup so its not easy to just try different drivers till one works..

ur specs show a b/g wifi card. i would suggest u pulled down the driver from acer 2430 and gve it a shot

Thought I would post back quickly to say that I got it working. Used the Intel Wireless 3945abg from Intel's site and that worked. I was actually going to try the 2430 drivers but i couldnt get back on the site to pull down the drivers this morning, so i grabbed the intel driver at work and that worked.
