Nice review morpheus! That will surely help out the investigative consumer on their path to Thin and Light!

Thanks!

Thanks Craig, for your comments and also for getting this into the correct forum.

archalien, as far as the site format goes, you will just have to live with it for the time being, but you may be happy to know it probably is not the permanent design. I have been messing with the layout over the past few months (when I have time that is )...

And Im running 1400x1050, so it looks great to me...

Err, you're smoking the rock, archalien... It looks fine on my machine at 1280x1024... It doesn't even use the full width of the screen. And after setting my screen to 1024x768 it still doesn't use the full screen width. And now, running at 800x600, it finally uses up the full screen width + 5 pixels, but the review still fits on one browser width.

Oh wait. You have a Sentia. It supports higher than 800x600. I guess you're just trolling again. Darn! I have fallen into your troll-trap.

EDIT: Actually, I'm a bit confused about your ownership of the Sentia. Your sig claims you won't get it for several days, and elsewhere you've reaffirmed that claim: "my laptop is arriving" (http://notebookforums.com/showthread...596#post168596), note how you use "is arriving" in the future tense, indicating that it hasn't yet arrived. And yet when answering a user's questions, you claim to already have it: "I have a sentia and can say..." (http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=17017) and you then go on to make comments about the laptop's innards and battery runtime.

Im sitting behind a 17" screen at 1152x864 (right now)and it can only display 3/4 of the page. Its just poor site design. Plus its not that hard to modify your code so that the site displays properly (zero horizontal scroll) regardless of enduser resolution. I would really suggest making the time to fix it. jmho

The site is roughly 610 pixels wide. There is no horizontal scroll at any res above 800x600 in either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. His site is fine.

i dont know what then, I went all the way to 1280x1024 and still had some side scroll

latest version of ie

The website is optimized for use with Netscape and will automatically adjust size to fit the screen. Website design needs to be changed to do the same for IE.

Morpheus,

could you possibly post the article on this thread?

thanks,

I hit CTRL-E and then pasted in the URL, and the site looked fine in IE. That's the only time I tested in IE, but as I said it worked fine.

Not that I care what it looks like in IE; I use Mozilla Firefox on Windows.

Its back up.

I may add a few more benchmarks early this up-coming week, maybe LAME MP3 stuff, PCMark, a few more... I may also benchmark a Dell Inspiron 4150 1.7ghz P4M machine and add that to the article for comparison. When I get that finished, Ill let you know.

I think we get the point, you think the site looks sloppy. Can we now move on now?

I'm digging it Thanks for getting it back up.

I've fw'd it to a few people on my IM list and they drooled.
