I think it's a mistake (ok maybe in design and not in construction - but mistake is mistake)...no really important reason to don't make the inlay overlap since you don't need to pull the lcd connector everyday or week...

Could it be u r getting angry?

winner: Fire+Obi VS rest 17 : 5 it s been a hard match... thx 4 supporting our great team.... so far

...No, not angry, just surprised by how hard you are pushing this issue, when it was not a flaw, mistake, error, lack of insight, or anything else in the design or construction of the laptop that placed that small gap there for the sole purpose to give easy access to the LCD cable.

You cotinue to classify it as a mistake.... Have you ever been involved in the design phase of something like a notebook, car, or even something as simple as the top of a soda can? I have, and you have no idea what steps have to be taken to ensure everything fits in a specific way, allowing for everything to work as it was designed to.

Ollix you are dilluted if you think you "won" something here. This was not a win/lose battle of 2 people vs everyone else. You guys can't can't seem to figure out the difference between a designed solution & mistake... Perhaps you just don't understand English very well, or you have a problem with admitting it was a designed characteristic of the notebook & not some unbelievable design flaw that has forever marred your ability to consider another Dell computer until they can resolve this issue that is so terrible it makes it impossible for you to sleep at night.

Putting in in your sig with the flame-bait comment in there just shows it's a flame thread & not a genuine concern (which was already hard to believe considering the concern has absolutely no bearing on the function of the product)...

...I guess after blowing your Sony Claim dead out of the water you need to do something, but come on give it a rest...

...Tell me you don't like it, I don't care, but don't call it a design flaw or a mistake when it wasn't either. Making flame-bait sigs with catch phrases saying "everyone got screwed by Dell"...That just makes you look ridiculous.

In response to your other post about page 1- (page #3- post 76, see the pic and the red line showing it overlapping the cable connector if they modified the size... I think that explains it all)

so first ..in my opinion i dont wanted to win something.
second..i have problems to tell my things in english 100%
third..... i think ist not ok from dell to do such a work 4 2500 euro ...should be ca 3000$
fourth.... you are telling me things ... but i cant stand them.... its not the thing wich is nessessary.- Because i think the german peopels wich will buy such a notebook doesnt think that there is a mistake...
because the germans have a big trust in dell so tomorrow i will write to our technical newspaper and we ll have a look if they think its ok ...

I built a house on my on and designed my sig *g*

So don't tell me I've got no clue about fitting the things in the right place...and also I can remove screws without a problem *g*

Ok than I'll call it a solution, a crappy solution!

And I may not understand English as much as you, but I think you don't speak French, Greek, Italian and German as good as me

Firestarter there's no point giving your pointless arguement here. Why don't you email Dell and argue w/ them?

I did ... just awaiting the answer of my today's email...and I'm sure they - once upon a time - will tell me what the gap is for...and thats all I want

I agree but until this time I would like to even get a proper answer by Dell
post #110 of 155
I can't believe its annoying you. I mean, I have had my laptop for 1 year, and I never noticed it untill you pointed it out.
Building a house & designing a sig are no where near as designing a laptop.
considering the actual architect does the difficult aspects of the design.

...Unfortunately I only speak English, Russian, and a little Spanish, of course that has nothing to do with this thread ... As I said...Your sig i nothing but flame-bait, and to say otherwise would be an outright lie. That's what is really irking me...You said you ewere ending the subject & then you make that saying that all Dell users got screwed...

Yeah, that irritates people.

I said I got screwed not everybody here got screwed!!! It's my sig and not anybody others!!!

Most of the architect's work did my wife (cause she's an architect) *g*

Agree!!!

After the answer of Dell I may be satisfied and have more information...
...Lol don't say you didn't make that sig to piss every Dell owner off, the "knowing you got screwed by Dell-Priceless" points a finger at every Dell owner, it doesn't say "Knowing I got screwed by Dell-Priceless" now does it?
^^ich geh nu erstmal pennen
Are all germans hard headed like these 2? or are these just 2 of the worst nerds in that country?
Those pics will lead you to ban. I guess all you wanted to do was just start a arguement with some dumbass point here after all. Some dumbass id to start the tread also btw.
