7900 GS, Overclocking, Artifacts

Thread Starter
I have been experimenting with using the bootdisk to overclock my 7900 GS. If I go to 430/1100 or higher, I get artifacts with ATI tool.
If I use 420/1100 or lower I get no Artifacts.

I am using 84.56 2.40 Extreme G drivers

Am I unlucky considering some people are o/c the crapola out of theirs? I am assuming that if I volt mod to 1.24 and go extreme, the artifacts will just get worse? Or do some people just deal with a little artifacting?

Thanks for all replies/ comments

definitely use 1.24. this will give you more overclocking headroom

Yeah, at at 430/1100 Ati tool is reporting "delta" messages every few seconds.... at 420/1100 and under I get no artifact messages. i will try the voltmod and see if that is the problem. I guess you have to voltmod to get higher clocks w/o artifacting???
