I've been trying to run a memory burn-in test on my 8600 ever since I upgraded to 1GB of Kingmax memory (not that I'm having any problems with the machine, but I just like to test new memory thoroughly).
I have the memtest86 boot CD but when I try it on the 8600 I get a brief flicker of the blue startup screen and then the machine reboots (repeating this pattern indefinitely). Has anyone successfully run memtest86 on the 8600? Are there any other burn-in testers that work well? I've heard of one called DocMem which I'm currently looking into but I don't know if it's any good.
