Computer is HP Pavillion zv5240US is deskbound:
Operates fine on power supply with battery removed. When I turn power on with battery installed the boot process starts normally and then immediately shuts down before completely boots up. It will only operate when battery is removed.
With the computer off and battery installed the chage light will blink on and then after a couple of seconds turn off --- right after I plug in the power supply to AC.
Someone told me that battery probably needs depassivation or a new battery pack?
Any suggestions?
