Thanks for the screenshot seablade. I'll probably throw e17 on my edgy machine sometime soon, but stick with gnome on my laptop for now. The fluxbox screenshot looks suprisingly good. The fonts are rendered nice and clean.

Speaking of fonts, I think I might know why the E17 fonts looks illproportioned... I bet your x.org is not configured to render fonts at 96dpi. For some reason most distros set the fonts to 100dpi or higher, that would account for really small fonts in some areas.

Hmm I suppose its possible, I am not to familiar with font setups in Xorg, never really bothered me enough to learn. But since I am apparently having some problems with GLX as well that I cant figure out I may attempt to tackle that at the same time, though in all honesty I am liking the view of the second setup MUCH more than the original. Then again I also have nvidia settings set to 8x anti-alias at the moment Identical xorg.conf though, but I havent done the above work to gtk apps yet, that will be coming. In the meantime I am trying to get the bling module working for my transparency etc

Ok it helps when you actually emerge xcompmgr first

I havent gone through and tweaked settings yet, but here is an initial screenshot showing transparency and glx gears info at the same time...

What is funny about this is I wasnt aware that eterm was supporting true transparency yet. But got my windows doing nice fade ins and outs, fade to transparent when not in focus, etc.

compiz theme: vista
icons: human (tango mods really)
icons on desktop: CrystalXP Blue_Crystal_Pack
gtk theme: Glossy P
wallpaper, gdm theme, and splash screen are all: "simple flower" on art.gnome.org

Heh not bad, Ive been working on getting my box up for my work since my last shot and havent spent much time tweaking looks, but Ill have to get another one up sometime soon if I can, depends on how much sleep I actually get

Then again I am looking at picking up a 770(MUCH smaller than I thought they were) and trying to get e17 running on that, maybe Ill post some of those screens as well
