Flash 9 for Linux: Has anyone tried this?

I spotted this on the Xubuntu blog, but it sounds too good to be true. And of course, if it sounds too good to be true. ...

I'd try it out, but I'm at work. Anyway, I don't expect it to really do anything, but I was hoping someone could give it a whirl.

All that will do is attempt to load the flash 8 and 9 plugins now.

Of course the fact flash player 7 doesnt support a lot of the truly useful features from those releases means you will get VERY interesting results on occasion most likely.

Last I heard Flash 9 is in development for Linux, however dont expect it before next year unfortunatly. One the the developers has a blog up somewhere, cant remember where right off hand, but he is making an honest effort to continue development on it with a crew of programmers.
