Posted this in the 17" dell notebook section but in hindsight this might be a better place for it.
Here's the problem;
I'm trying to connect my xps to my television and having great difficulties getting it right. I can't seem to make the resolution match the tv for some reason (every resolution I try seems to cut off part of the desktop or squash the picture).
The TV is a Samsung LE40R51B 40" LCD and I read that the resolution is 1366x768
Laptop is, as mentioned, an XPS M1710 with an nvidia 7900
Connecting via s-video (I know HDMI/dvi is better but this is the only one available to me at this juncture).
Anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong?
I've never done this before so I need to be walked through it.
