All you Logitech G5 lovers!

So...this is actually pretty n00b of me to do and not think of...but, is everyone else aware of the firmware upgrades and interface software that's out for teh G5 lazer mouse?

It took getting tendonitis in my left hand to actually look for it. The firmware upgrade is nice, its even more accurate now! Then the software available for it is great also. You can customize every button (even the sensitivity buttons) to do what you want. Like making the (-) button the ENTER key or assigned to a number

You can even increase the DPI sensitivity if you're really into tweaking out your sensitivity.

Firmware:

Latest setpoint software: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/do...ontentid=10757

Like I said...Might just be NOTW noteworthy....but, still I found this a discovery and wanted to share for anyone that has a G5 and was ignorant too!

Happy gaming!

Mine already had the 1.1 Firmware and I don't need to upgrade the setpoint software as I figured out how to get the back button to work in mozilla

It comes in handy when you are playing FPS though. High speed for getting the drop on people and low speed for those fantastic sniper head shots

Honestly, I never change DPI when I am playing FPS'. The DPI on-the-fly is just a gimmick to me. I keep everything at the same sensitivity when I play. I can't snipe fast enough if you make the mouse go slower, since I don't really aim anymore, I just flick and click.
