questions about coolers

I just bought a laptop, should be arriving in a week I have a question about cooling the laptop down. My friend bought a cooler for his laptop and he said it keeps the laptop from overheating, but the cooler will sometimes overheat. Is this true for all coolers? He has the Antec notebook cooler.

I know of quite a few people who have been unhappy with the Antec. I and many other forum members use the Spire Pacific Breeze which works wonderfully

Yeah, I checked out the spire pacific breeze, But how exactly does it work? I seen some pictures of the cooler and it was in front of the laptop. How exactly does it cool the laptop down if it is placed in front of the laptop instead of under? Also, I found the Spire Pacific Breeze II. Heres how it looks like....

It pulls air in from the top and blows it out directly under the laptop.

Nope soild as a rawk and it puts it at a perfect angle for me so my wriste dont hurt after typing all day.

14.99 from newegg.com Darqs images look just like mine would except I have a toshiba instead of a dell. The nice thing about the spire is it has 2 speed settings for the fan.
