I haven't seen any reviews of this model either. Customer service is hit or miss. Some people have had nightmares and others have been quick and painless.

As far as specs go, the laptop is great except for the Intel integrated graphics. If you don't need to game with anything more complicated than minesweeper you'll never notice it though.

If you get it from Bestbuy the extended warranty will most likely be worth it. It seems like laptop build quality has been steadily going down hill over the last few years.

I just got it, it gets about 5-6hrs battery life, and is pretty snappy. The screen likes to be viewed on center, but the hard drive is very fast (5400rpm). It seems faster than my old m6811.

You just have to make sure you don't wipe everything as soon as you get it, you need SATA drivers to install a new os.

I got this to replace my eMachines M6811..which started to randomly shut itself off.. specially when converting videos to windows mobile sided (pocketdivx, etc).

So far, I like it. Only major draw back is the shared memory intel video. The M6811 was a lot better for gaming.. but, I have a desktop for that now.

It is a lot faster.. and will run Vista properly... specially w/ it's 2gig of ram. I got it on a 300 off sale at Bestbuy, so I wound up paying $500 less than I paid for the M6811 (1499 for eMachines, $999 for this one).. so it makes a good trade up.. and I still have part of my 3yr warranty so maybe I can get the other fixed and give it to my wife.

The only thing is.. I cant figure out what board setting to use with Motherboard Monitor.... if anyone's taken it apart, and knows which mboard sensorchip it uses, could ya let me know?

Hey guys, I just got this laptop, and it's been great for the past few hours, I hear the video card is crappy, and right now it's only set to share 8MB of video by default, and I would like to increase that to 128MB, but for some reason it will not even let me touch those options in the bios, and I've tried to update the motherboard software but windows gives me errors when I try to launch the setup... Any ideas? Thanks
