Dell Customer Service is Awesome!

I just had to bring this story up. As you guys know, I recently sold my e1705 because I built a monster desktop. Long story short, I had my eye on a Dell 24 inch Widescreen Lcd. It had been running for about $700 for 2 weeks. Last night I go to order using my dell account and I kept getting an error to try back later. Today this morning I try again and same thing. I try back one hour later and the price suddenly jumps to $879. I called immediately and got a lady named shane on the line, she said she could not do anything and stated that was the price. I said I could not justify spending $179 extra and basically finished the call. I was about 10 seconds away from completing an order to get a 20 inch samsung, when the same lady called back from dell and she said she spoke to her manager and she was able to get the $700 price honored. Needless to say I now have a 24 inch lcd on its way. Go dell.

Thats only because people don't talk about them. I have good customer service experiences with Dell on a weekly basis. In fact I can't say I have ever had a bad one.

On the business side I have zero complaints. Fast, speedy service from people who won't force me to go thru the "script" to get support.

On the home side, even with the "preimum" XPS support, it's hit or miss.

But, no one ever takes the car to the mechanic, just to tell him everything is running just fine.
