Fan Management Program?

is there a program that allows me to manage the fans, for example, which allows me to control when they come on/go off?

and what laptops does it work for? i have a 9300 converted to xps gen 2 and i was wondering what fan program can i run on it?

i would also like to know what the difference is... 9k for duo cores and 8k for single cores?

Well, I believe the 'author' of i9kfangui basically took the name/idea from the writer of i8kfangui -- where i8kfangui was originally written for the 8*** series notebooks, but later added support for teh 9*** series of inspirons.

Also, i9kfangui does NOT work correctly with dual core cpus.

So... most people are using i8kfangui for their temp monitoring/fan adjustment needs at this point.
