Commish gets taken down because I can't defend myself or I get banned, when I WAS enjoying this thread for it's positive aspect. What are the specs of your AW Boyd? When I buy mine I'll be sure to go one level up on every component

Ok Yang I'll go back to Dell but like I said the Commish AW is landing within the next 2 months!!!!! I NEED a new lappy for work, and that M5550 is pretty nice!!!

Commish,

You get taken down because your constant flag waving for Dell isn't appreciated here. Dell shouldn't take over AW's support, R&D, sales, or anything else. If you like Dell that's awesome. Tell it to the Dell crowd.

I hope you do finally buy an Alienware and understand why we prefer them over Dell, but your die hard attitude that nobody can compare value wise with Dell convinces me that it won't make any difference.

Dell was made for you.

..As you can see I am from the Dell side & Commish, I have to agree with the above statement based off the responses in the threads you participate in.. If you went into a Dell forum and started chanting Long live AW you would find yourself facing the same responses.

Aw come on thecommish16, I thought we were buddies?

Duck...There be Pigs On The Wing...

BTW SolApathy a majority of threads thecommish16 participates in the Alienware Forums get locked or deleted.

He always acts like he's asking a question or about to buy an Alienware, "So please let me stay and not get told for the umpteenth time to go away". He then illicits pity from a couple good hearted people here. It never takes long for him to say something stupid though and is told to go away again. In other words just read thru this thread...same ol', same ol'.

275 bucks for a warranty for 2 years doesn't seem to make much sense when you consider how cheap the system is. If I add that, I might as well make it more valuable by upgrading the video card and the processor. Im just looking for a work computer, nothing that will be run through too much.

Comish, I'd upgrade the RAM myself and spend the saved money either to upgrade something or just pocket it. You can sometimes call and get an extension on your warranty, given you have to pay up for it either way. If you don't get the warranty, we don't want to here any complaining when something dies on you, however I mop up in the peer to peer section before coming here. Lemme know if something truly goes wrong.

I'll never understand you Commish.

Anyone that would own a Dell XPS for gaming, and a low configuration Alienware for work is just confused.

Dell makes their bread and butter making low cost functional computers for work. Alienware specializes in gaming rigs.

Do you always swim against the flow?

$275 buck is cheap considering it includes the Respawn ($29) and Autopsy ($49). It's just good insurance to have if a lcd or mobo goes bad on you. I got and am glad I did. three years is long time for something to unexpectantly go bad.

HIJACKED!!!!!!!!!

I love it. Games look f'in sweet on it. THe only thing i wish my monitor has (that the new ones have) is HDMI input.

I'm gonna buy a 37 or a 42 inch monitor in a few months and the res will be a lot higher as well.

Well I want to TRY AW before I go all in on my next desktop...I've never ordered one, been through the phases, dealt with CS, etc. It would be a nice little experiment!
