Hello Forumites,
I have a general request concerning Dell repair turnaround time. My laptop is going to be sent back for replacement of its motherboard. Dell tells me it takes 2-7 days with 2 days for shipping. However I am currently dependant on my still working laptop for presentations which I can't put on a USB stick.
So I am wondering what your experiences with Dell repair depots have been. Also would receipt of the laptop at the depot on a weekend cause for an additional delay?
Thanks,
Tphage

It would refuse to boot, went threw the nightmare of tech support,(over 4 hours) in which they would come to the conclusion the motherboard was dead, and in both cases they had me send it in for replacement, and both times in less than 2 days it would start all over again...they seem to just run a quick diagnosis at the repair center and say all is fine and ship it back, they never really gave it a complete test in my opinion with the fast return times, and on this last return my laptop overheated and shutdown and now is nothing but a brick....Thankfully my warranty was still good so Dell has issued a replacement laptop....Maybe you will get better service but in my case they were a bit sloppy.....But Dell has more than made up for it....
