Cool. Got it.
Update: I have a working Apple Remote now
Update 2: And the saga continues...Stupid thing gets that blue screen on shutdowns/restarts...I am so not going to be sitting there the whole dang time resetting the PRAM...ARGH...So frustrating. I heard about the random shutdowns with the latest update on some machines, but never heard anything about this problem...GOODNESS WASN'T THIS SUPPOSE TO BE THE "PROBLEM-FREE VERSION OF COMPUTERS!!!"
Does anyone think it might be the latest update to MacOSX? I did install it. I was trying to install the SMC update when it again crashed on me...something the install instructions warned against, touching the machine (Had to cold shutdown).
Update 3: Did fresh install...Can't update the SMC because it says I have the latest version...>.> so I can't get a perfect install of that. Didn't install the newest update for MacOSX, which was the problem of the computer not booting up properly. BUT went to test out my Apple Remote today. Dam battery change didn't help...sucked out all the batterly life (when just sitting on my bookcase) of the new battery and now dead again. Bringing to Apple tech place again later. Garbage man, just garbage.
Update 4: Okay, dropped of my Apple Remote at the local Apple tech location given to me by AppleCare. Uhh...Bad news, they took my laptop too. AND it just happens that my semester starts tomorrow too! OMG...I needed it for school, and since it's not an Apple Store it's not like they have loaners too. Estimated fix time 1-2 weeks. *Did your jaw drop to the floor too?*
Update 5: After 2 days I got my Macbook back. *Yes I feel like a fool now going on about 1-2 weeks* BUT I was correct in the fact the the remote was broken. They replaced it with a new one.
